The Purge: Anarchy

  I must admit, the first Purge movie was a guilty pleasure of mine. Sure the characters are stupid, sure the plot is convenient, but hey, it was fun to watch.

  The Purge: Anarchy steps it up with better characters, better production, better plot lines, and more killing! I really enjoyed this movie and watching the purge go down on the street. You felt a real sense of danger, that these new character might not make it. 

  While it didn't have that same horror element that the first one had, it was just as thrilling. Frank Grillo really gives depth to what could have been a one dimensional character and I really liked him as the lead. 

  Sometimes the movie tries to be more profound than it actually is, but I'll give it a pass because the action is so cool to watch. A generous 4 out of 5 stars. (It's Great)
