The Hundred-Foot Journey Review (2014)
The Hundred-Foot Journey
I went into this thinking it would be a boring, predictable, Hallmark-ish movie about food. Boy was I surprised.
This delightful story packed a real punch with it's delicate storytelling and endearing characters. Hellen Mirren and Manish Dayal are great in this film. The character's passion for cooking is so infectious that you want to go home and cook yourself. From the way they talk about food, to the way they treat their job like an art––It really gave the movie so much flavor.
While it did drag on a bit at the end, and everything did seem to work out a little too perfectly, I really enjoyed this and would love to see it again. 4 out of 5 stars! (It's Great)
